This unique process allows natural gas to be converted into a crystal clear base oil with virtually zero impurities. This pure base oil, using Active Cleansing Technology, produces an engine oil that cleans and protects today's engines in an extraordinary way.

The Shell Helix base range provides a complete range of engine oils for passenger cars, from full synthetic engine oils that are approved and recommended by the world's leading car manufacturers, to products that meet the basic performance requirements for older or less demanding vehicles.

The Ultra ECT (Emission Compatibility Technology) range of oils includes fully synthetic products to meet the requirements of the latest engines, including engines with diesel particulate filters (DPFs).
